We have bought a used 2005 LR3 with 13000 miles. I was wondering if it will continue to get the complimentary scheduled maintenance or was this only with the original owner?
Thanks,
Troy

Did you buy the car from a private owner or dealer? I believe the only way to get complimentary service is if your car was certified by a dealer. This certification qualifies you for continued coverage under warranty as well (others chime in if you know otherwise). Usually the dealer makes a point of this when at the bargaining table-

You will absolutely continue to get complimentary service. I bought a used 2005 at a porsche dealer with 18000 and I was even able to get my local LR dealer to print me off what services were done out of state and he even mistakenly gave me the previous owner's name and address.

We did purchase it from a Land Rover dealer. Our salesman no longer works there but he did tell us we continued to receive the service. I just wanted to make sure. I also requested the service records as part of the deal. I didn't receive them yet so I will just ask the service department when I go in for our first service.

Thanks again everyone,
Troy

I too just purchased a 2005 LR3. Mine has 8000 Miles on it and the way it was explained to me was that I would get complimentary service for the original warranty period of 50,000 miles. I have the 75,000 mile warrenty but I am pretty sure he mentioned that I would only get complimentary service up to 50,000 Miles. I will ask later this week when I stop in and update everyone with the answer.

Complimentary service is included on LR3 through the 45000 mile service. It does not matter if you are the first or second, or third or any owner, as longer as you are the owner! The factory warranty follows the same lines, 4 yrs, 50,000, on the car.
By the way, the factory maintence schedule has the air filter out at some way long interval, (60K), I'd reccommend check that at least every 7500 miles. That thing gets filthy!

Random ? -- but the complimentary 45k service

This expires after the 4 years too right, even if you havent reached 35K or even 45K?
