I just purchased a 2007 LR3 HSE with 33k miles last weekend. I love the vehicle with the exception of a couple noises that the car keeps making. First, I'm getting a terribly loud doppler type noise on the car when slowing from about 30 mph down to 0 mph. Seems like loud tires but not sure.

Additionally, I get a metallic grinding type noise when traveling in the 20 - 25 mph range and keeping it at that level (I drive a lot in city traffic at that speed). I first thought this was brake related as the noise seemed to occur when I was on the brake, but after driving more at this speed consistently with no brake, I've learned that the noise is present without me braking.

Does anyone know if these noises are related? If so, what are they? If you're not sure, should I just take the car to the dealership to see if they'll diagnose? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I had the same type of noise when slowing down, tires needed to be changed.

I have the stock Goodyear Wrangler's. Looks like they're the original tires still -- about 33k miles.
