Ok, I was discussing this issue with my car in this thread:
http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22822
...and then digressed into this issue. I think this deserves its own thread.

Apparantely there was a TSB LA-501-012 issued exactly for this problem. To summarize my symptoms are:

1. Driver side footwell is soaking wet (Passenger side dry)
2. Wet and dripping headliner in front near the map lights box
3. Sporadic Airbag warning light kept coming and going.

Symptoms wise it is exactly how it is listed in the LR TSB PDF document referenced here: http://bit.ly/yxKpZP
Includes instructions to fix and repair the problem.

Well I guess that's I am going to do now...

Replace to two A pillar outside covers, and the fasteners with the updated ones.

Inspect the cowl to insure it has not warped off the windshield. Replace if warped.

Check the roof drains, and reroute / unplug them.

Thanks tlt. I am taking it for Airbag diagnosis just in case and plan to do exactly what you have listed :)

Got it all done. Drains were severaly plugged, got them cleaned and widened for better flow. The Airbag issue was unrelated, the indy shop discovered it was a loose switch or something, they fixed that and now that issue is gone too. Front cowl were fine, and the outside A-Pillar covers had already been replaced with the new ones before.

Total cost was less than $200.

Widened? Did you get a description of how they did that? Was that Biggs?

Yep, Biggs. I can ask them the details. I am assuming they widened or cut the end of the drains? Bruce worked on it.

LR Seattle snipped them and then added some kind of little extention thing like a spout at the end.
