Apparently, to prevent rubbing, the harness on this picture has to be relocated to the top of the frame.
Necessary???

I don't think that a 265 series tire will be an issue with respect to rubbing...but you may want to do something to monitor it because each LR3 seems to be different.

Let me be more specific, even though it is probably a moot point for Chris. I mean that the 285-series Coopers rub that wire harness, but not all the time. Some LR3s have issues with that and some just don't. It seems that the harnesses are not all in the same place. Or it could be that when I ran the Coopers on the rims I used back then, the improper offset helped in that.

Either way, you have to check your own LR3s harness to be sure AND that was happening with a 285 tire...not a 265.

They make a good medium off-road tire with good on road handling. I switched to BFG on my next set because I started to do more extreme off-road, but they do not handle as well on road as the SA did.

From what I've read and my own experience with the silent armors, they more or less suck and aren't worth the money. I wouldn't take them on any trail as they are just one more weak point in a not so perfect system.

...and what exactly is your own experience with the Silent Armors, James?
