Air Inlet Grill

I have had good luck keeping rodents out of my vehicles by using an electronic rat trap called RAT ZAPPER. I have four of these units in my garage and occasionally I get a “kill”.
The RAT ZAPPER uses four size D batteries. I put a bottle cap filled with peanut butter in the back of the trap...

I have had two check engine light incidents.
The first was fixed by cleaning the throttle plate. Evidently fuel residue blocked a small opening in the plate and caused the mass airflow sensor to generate an out of range fault. Disassembly and cleaning corrected the situation.
The second...
LED Tail Lamps
From your photos, the OEM lamps do a better job. You should consider brighter LEDs from either ledlight.com (number 23123) or superbrightleds.com (number 1157-R45T). Either bulb will be brighter with better light distribution.
Two questions about HID headlamp bulbs:
Any recommendations on a source for replacement headlight HID bulbs?
What is the color (frequency) of the stock HID bulbs?
I think that there are two LR OEM rear lamp guards for the LR3. VUB501380 is plastic and has three cross bars. VUN502590 is aluminum and has four cross bars.
Has anyone had experience with front or rear lamp guards sold by a company called Travall? The photos on their web page look like LR OEM parts. In addition, Travall’s installation instructions look identical to the LR.
Last week I had an engine warning light that was possibly triggered by dirty fuel injectors. My LR dealership used B & G cleaner on the fuel system. They suggested that I only use fuel with cleaning additives, specifically recommending Chevron or Shell.
My vehicle is a 2006 HSE with 53,000...
The remote lock/unlock feature on my 2006 LR3 is not working properly.
The specific issues are:
Locking
Pushing the lock button does not always lock the vehicle. When it does lock, the locking is mostly instant but a few times I have to hold the button down for up to 20 seconds. When the...
Does anyone know if Off Roving is still in business?
I just went to their web site and several of the links and their email contact return error messages (location unknown).
Dropped Signal
I have been having dropped signal problems on the satellite radio on my LR3. The dealer replaced the Sirius module and the radio worked fine with almost no dropped signals. After about five weeks, the new module has started dropping the signal.
The dealer wants to try an...
What size fasteners are used to (1) attach the front seat to the floor and (2) attach the outer anchor of the second row shoulder belt to the structure behind the rear quarter trim panel?
Can you post some photos of the install including the antenna installation? Where did you place the control head and the main chassis?
In terms of power feeds in the rear quarter panel, there is an ignition switched 30 amp feed that is part of the trailer wiring.
I was having loss of signal problems as well as acquiring signal issues. The dealership updated the Sirius software last week. Both the loss of signal issue and the acquiring signal issues are greatly improved, but still present.
Wiring
I am looking for a 15 amp circuit to power a ham radio transceiver that I plan to mount somewhere in the back of the vehicle. I thought that the trailer harness has a 15 amp switched lead and a 30 amp direct to battery lead. (At this time, I have no plans for trailer tow.)
There are two electrical connectors in the rear quarter trim panel on the driver’s side. I believe that they connect to the optional trailer tow harness. Can anyone identify the pins on these two connectors?
Has anyone had experience with motorized ham radio antenna mounts? The two mounts that I am looking at are the Diamond K900LR MO and the Comet MK-30H. They both rotate a mobile antenna between horizontal and vertical (90 degrees).
I have had good luck with Yakama racks. They make “landing pads” that fit the LR3’s roof rails. You then add their round cross bars and accessories. You will also need their air deflector to eliminate wind noise.
Evidently there are three choices on the LR3 for daytime running lights. What are the differences between daytime running lights, Scandinavian daytime running lights, and Canadian daytime running lights?
