Is there a way to disable the led ring completely? I do not want these "ben wa ball" inspired lights on at all and would prefer they be disabled permanently. Currently the LED is off unless headlights are on. I would like them off even with the headlights. If there isn't a coding option could I change the pin-out on the harness?

Funny I was wondering the exact same thing this morning. I like the MY14+ LED and the solid LED on the newer LR and RRs. But these dots on ours seem dated to me.

hahaha... same here. on my 2016 landmark it looks much better. cleaner. these dots do nothing except make the front look cluttered.

:( Guess they are not many LR4s in the market to justify conversion kit to a "solid" LED ring Bimmer stye...

i don't want to update to post face lift or change; everything works fine i am just not thrilled with the led design. it is not fashionable or functional.

After searching the forums and youtube for possible options on disabling these peculiar lights I decided to take apart the headlight and go at it myself. It is a fairly simple process and if you have about twenty minutes of free time, a 7mm socket and black electrical tape you can disable them as well without IIDT or any CEL or error messages. Attached below are images of what to do and where to do it. I hope this helps anyone looking to do disable these lights down the road. Enjoy.

Hahaha... Thanks. Much cleaner and sharper design without the cluttered and annoying lighting effect. I'll post a photo or two once I get a moment to photograph.
