I did jsut realize that it was tuned up to 305hp but still the 5.0L still has the up advantages of 70 hp. In the video of the actual top speed acceleration is not on a Dyno. When he gets to the top speed there is far too much wind noise for it to be on a dyno.ugh, you do realize that is on a dyno, right?

LOL. That might be the biggest whopper I've heard in a while. You show me one fool that's removed the rev limiter and driven and LR4 151 mph. Hahaha. That's funny. I guess with the exception of a completely controlled environment with a straightaway and no bumps or curves and that's a maybe.
Come on man, 151 mph in one of these. You might as well have said it sprouted wings and flew.
I might be a fool, I don't know about removing a rev limiter, and I didn't see any wings at the time, but this was part of a protective services detail training exercise. You are correct that this did not occur within a real world environment. It took place in a controlled training environment within the parameters of a protective training scenario in a rather private location within the UK.
I will tell you that from experience the vehicle will go to the equivalent of 151 mph and if you've got the ******** or cojones, it will exceed 70 mph in reverse.
From my experience, the LR4 is perfectly comfortable doing 80-85 mph. Beyond that it's not as comfortable knowing there are so many bad drivers plus deer, moose and other animals wandering around out there. And troopers seem to take it personal once you are going more than 20-25 mph over the speed limit.
Agreed. Which is why I said I don't like to go over 90. But for fuel/ticketing reasons, I keep it under 80. I usually set CC to 76-78 and that gives me peace of mind on our many trips to Montreal and elsewhere in the northeast.
