Pads are Ferrodo on my '13 and the rotors are brembos.

I believe Ferodo is the OEM for the factory LR pads.

Remanufactured calipers often lack the original coating/painting, as they are stripped (media blasted?), taken apart, and have the soft parts replaced. But the donor caliper will be OE, and generally you return your OE calipers for a core charge. Different rebuilders (Cardone, Centric, NuGeon, etc) may have different processes, use different soft parts (seals, O-rings), and have different finishes. If they don't coat or paint them after rebuilding, you end up with surface rust pretty fast. The 2 not rusting appear to be coated/plated. Shame that 4 didn't get this treatment.

"Aftermarket" calipers would be Brembo or some other 3rd party upgrade. That's not the same as rebuilt OE calipers.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing that I got, at minimum, 2 rebuilt calipers instead of a set of 4 brand new OEMs.

I don't think it matters. The LR4 calipers are not high tech, just a simple single piston floating design. Keep the pins lubed with a silicone based brake grease or suffer the consequences when the pin bushings expand and cause the caliper to get "stuck"

correct, but the OP may have paid a significant premium for OEM parts.

Yes, I purchased the Land Rover extended warranty through the dealer, I believe it is serviced by assurant. I called the warranty company, they confirmed that they paid the price for NEW parts, ie $590+ for each front caliper and 250 or so for one rear. I paid for the other rear.
