Forgot to include this but it was the rear crossover pipe and my LR4 is 11 years old with 116,500 miles on it

I was quoted $1,005 by an Indy shop for my 5.0 Range Rover HSE. I tackled it myself and the front and rear pipes were $200. I think the only other thing I changed was the intake manifold gasket. You may want to change the thermostat and water pump as well as radiator hoses if they haven’t been changed in the last 30,000 or so miles.

Just a question for everyone who had a shop do this repair, how much did they charge for both crossover pipes and did they do anything else when they did this job?

I had the dealer do it under warranty, water pump was slowly leaking so maybe replace that while they're in there.

I also had them do both crossover pipes.

I estimated about $800 if I were to have paid the dealer. Not sure if that's low or not. Just took the part totals and estimated the book time.

Parts were $400 ish.

Mine was just under $1000 to replace pump and both pipes. Labor was around $400 (3 hrs). This is in DC metro area.

My car is a 2010 LR4 HSE LUX with 116,600 miles on it. The rear crossover pipe blew, and the only reason I had any idea that my car was leaking coolant was because of the faint smell of coolant coming through the air vents. No warnings, nothing.

Mine is actually right now at the shop getting both CrossOvers and Water pump replaced to start right 2021 and was Quoted at $1,375 including labor. im located in Seattle WA. finger crossed your engine is fine Jimmy!

Well sorry to tell everyone who was counting on buying the parts on my car, got it back today and it runs great. Had both crossover pipes done as well as the intake manifold gaskets, Throttle body hoses, coolant outlet flanges, water outlet plug, and updated coolant hoes done. Hopefully that sorts all the cooling system problems for the future.

@Seabassjfr Where are you getting it done at for that price? I am talking my wife into holding our 2015 Lux until the new Expedition gets v1 self driving mode which my friends at corporate are saying in 2022.

Although our landy is low mileage, it has the smell of coolant after a drive when wife parks it in the garage. So, at the price you're talking, that's cheap insurance to get us another 18 months without me worrying about it.
