Well, my calipers have never been worked on before. Not sure how they have failed after 4 years and 31k miles. Waiting on the warranty company (I bought the Land Rover extended warranty) to tell me if it’s covered or not. Shop owner seems to think they may decline and call it corrosion at which point I may be in for a hefty bill. If that’s the case I will scream at the warranty company and the Land Rover dealer who sold it to me.

May I ask what your warranty cost and how many miles it was good for?
I’m nearing the end of my factory warranty and am looking...any advice appreciated.
Thank you.

Anyone have tips, tricks, and lessons from rebuilding brakes?

I am presently working on a full rebuild (new pistons, pins, washers, boots, brake lines, etc) on both front and rear sets.

Old Pistons and hardware and then the new hardware going onto the calipers (I purchased almost all of the rebuild hardware from Lucky8).

That is a clever caliper hanger. I used fence wire and looped around a bolt at the top of the strut and then down to the caliper. But what I notice is that your fender liners are missing, that is why I didn't think of that hook point lol.

When I did my brakes I needed to use stop-squeak on the brake pad backings. There are a lot of sub par brake pad options.
