Jlac, sorry to hear man. I think your slow bleed may have done it in.
My car leaks it, doesn’t burn it. My rear main and upper timing cover and valve covers leak.

This was a picture of my skid plate after 10k miles and and less frequent driving over the past year and a half. My alternator died at 147k last year and I think it was from my upper timing cover leak putting oil into it but could’ve been old age too.
Sounds similar to mine. My skid plate doesn't collect any appreciable amount though. I found regular full synthetic would leak more, high mileage ( has seal conditioners) leaked much less, pretty much negligible now after two changes. 152k miles on mine. High mileage oils might work better in that instance.

Here’s pictures of the truck everyone. Truck is located in Rockyhill CT. I am not asking much for it as i rather someone else take it and put an engine in.

Letting it go for 2K. You get whats in the pics and new parts that were recently installed (lemforder control arms upper/lower front/rear, 4 arnott air struts, and an extra set (4) of wheels (19 inch rims with Michelin winter tires) along with a few other things laying in my garage i’ve accumulated over the years since 2013 for this truck.

I'm curious, what woofers and sound system do you have installed?
The speakers are hertz Pro mille 8inches. I have 3 speakers in each door. The subwoofer is a kicker comp series which is 2 12” woofers. I have a jl audio amp, DSP, and lithium battery installed in the trunk. Everything is on a board in the trunk on the left panel. The system is more for sound competitions. It’s super loud but still very clean. My other range rover i installed focal speakers….that system is very high quality sound, but not nearly as loud as the LR4. The LR4 was like my project car. Custom door cards made out of fiberglass and i have a ton of dynamat in them. The doors are super heavy.

Nice gear, I bet it sounds good. How does the bass hit? I've had strong thoughts of getting two JL Audio woofers, 600 W amps with a line level out to the amp and then be able to detach it and store it for when overlanding. Are you feeding your amps a line level input? Las Vegas is a big party scene and nobody complains about loud music driving around so it isn't like I'm going to a religious town and blasting Ozzy Crazy Train, but I want to eventually get crushing bass so everyone on the sidewalks can feel it too lol.. Its such a joy for me to have bass vibrate everything and everything around.

For your LR4 if you are asking $2k then might as well put it in covered storage if you don't want to spend for a new reman? $2k toward a new used rig is insignificant and for $10k I'd regret selling it. It might be better to keep it for later. A used engine with verified miles will keep the cost down, I've heard it can be done around $10k but I budgeted (preveously) for $20k. I'm sure there is more life in your transmission, T-Case and everything else if there aren't any issues with it now. The new remans are $14k last time I checked. There was one guy on reddit claiming 289k mi on his 5.0L V8, but he had a 5k mi change interval and not enough people do that.

Fair point, i will actually take this into consideration. Appreciate the input honestly…and yes lol i agree with you on the bass….i did a line out converter from the factory amp. I’ve done music in plenty other vehicles, but the LR4’s cabin is naturally acoustically proper for a subwoofer. It sounds great no matter where you place the sub. Firing up ,down, from the sides all sound great.
