With the auxiliary tank I'll be able to easily go over 700 miles between fill ups.

Wife is meeting me in Salt Lake. We're going to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Jackson. When we're done, the LR is being left at SLC and my parents are going to do the Utah national parks and drive back east as far as they feel like.
Sounds like a great trip. How have you liked the Aux tank? How careful do you need to be on the departure angle? Thx.

I loved having the tank out in the mountain west. I topped off on gas before entering Yellowstone and pretty much drove around for a week and didn't refuel until I was in Jackson. Helped a lot on the interstate too. Half as many fuel stops keeps you moving right along.

If we are dealing with a world of flat planes, the bumper or hitch is going to hit first. The only scenario I can see it being an issue is if there's a good size rock or stump that you straddle right as you start an incline.

That’s an awesome photo
Thanks. I need to get some snow tires on though, hopefully I'll get my other wheels back from being powder-coated so I can throw on some winter tires before the next storm hits.

No pictures of it but got to do a little 2-wheeling when exceeding the cross articulation capabilities on some more technical stuff. Feels very weird to have the thing pivot on opposite corners as it transitioned from one set of 3 wheels to another. Impressed with the capabilities though had to stack a lot of rocks compared to the jeeps and their 35" tires.
