03 discovery runs rough after new water pump.

I have an 03 discovery and while driving the water pump went out at 70MPH. My belt, fan blade with clutch, water pump, and radiator all had to be replaced.

I started the engine and it idles fine, but as soon as I press down on the gas pedal it sputters badly and has no power. Then check engine light comes on and I get 1 to 3 error codes. Sometime just 1 code, other times 2 and 3 codes.

The codes are:

P1562, P1481, and P0335.

While My disco was sitting for about 2 month before I could fix it the battery lost its charge and I put it on an overnight charge. The Green gear icons with the M and S come on along with the Check engine light no matter the error codes that come up.

Please help ASAP - I'm stranded until I fix this since I sold my F150 to pay to get the Disco running.

How long did the Disco continue to run before you shut the engine off after the water pump and everything went out?

I was able to fix it.

As it turns out, after the Disco sat for 2 month not running the battery needed to be fully charged.

The battery tested as good but needed to be charged. I ended spending the hundred or so and buying a new battery. This seemed to resolve the problems however I also had an issue with the battery cables tightening down enough. Once I fixed that than the Disco became a happy camper.

If they don't tighten properly replace them... Rockauto seems to have a good selection of parts.. check them.
