Hey All!

New to the forum and a new Land Rover Owner. Great forum by the way. I just purchased an '04 Disco SE. I was wondering if anyone knew what my options are for cross bars for the factory rails? The only ones I found were from Atlantic British for $300. Does anyone know of any less costly alternatives? I would rather not use the "high" foot packs for the factory Thule cross bars. I want the clean look.

Also, is there a jump seat kit for this model. I have seen them for Disco I and Range Rover but not for the II.

Lastly, any other must haves for this. It is mainly a family hauler and occasional jaunt up to the Ski areas in VT and NH.

Thanks for the help.

go with the factory land rover cross bars and ski racks for the best fit and least wind noise.

Thanks Skikid. The only place I have been able to find the OEM crossbars is at Atlantic British and they were $320. Have you seen them anywhere else cheaper. I also have the Thule horzontal (4-pair) ski rack and I am wondering if they make a fit kit for their attachents to fit directly on the factory cross bars.

Thanks

try thule 415 or 450 feet. they go on the factory bars, the 450 is just an updated version of the 450s. One word of advice, check the width of the crossbar on the vehicle before purchasing, the thule book recommended what seemed like really narrow bars, I went a size up, but I don't remember the exact width.

disco fever,

Thanks much for the advice. This must be a relatively new offering from Thule. I was just on the Thule site a couple of weeks ago and I did not see the 450. I already have two sets of LB 50 bars, so I think I will try them and go to the 65's if they don't work.

I will let you know my progress.

Thanks.
