2005 LR3 Halogen Harness Replacement/Xenon upgrade

The base in which the light bulb is attached to, is broken. This has caused my bulb to only last a few months. I have a few questions;

1. Can i just replace the Harness?
2. Is it an H7 Harness?
3. Can I use aftermarket products rather than OEM products and are the aftermarket product worth it?
4. Can i upgrade to a xenon harness with aftermarket products and is that worht it? and how difficult is it to do this?

If you can find a junkyard that has the xenon headlights, they might just swap across.

I assume you do not already have the xenon so aftermarket might be OK as the computers probably do not monitor the headlights so you can get away with changing stuff out.

The guys re the link below are the experts on LR3 lighting, backup cameras, etc. If they do not have it, then it either does not exist or is no good.
