2005 LR3, not getting very warm

Just noticed my LR3 is only getting warm on the temp gauge to the first little arrow in temps under 25 degrees. Anyone have this before? Gas mileage is awful as well at 13 highway where cold weather was normally around 16 - 17.
Any ideas?

Being in Texas, it is rare we even get that cold, but have you checked your coolant lately? Check for water/coolant ratio and check level. If it is low, look for signs of a leak and look at your oil too and make sure it isn't milky...indicating a coolant leak into the block. If coolant and oil look okay, you may have a bad thermostat.
