Normally the amps are tuned so they don't blow the speakers, but the stereo in the LUX package is pretty strong. My Radio Shack decibel meter hit 115 db around volume level ~55 inside while driving. Far too loud and found that at around volume level 30 its not going to hurt my ears, I remember it being around 85 db I think.
