The timing chain issue was fixed on the 2013 V8 model. So that is always an option. But the more affordable route is to just fix the current one you have.

Technically the 2013-2016 have the updated tensioners and they are better, BUT they're still having issues. A 3rd revision of the tensioners and guides were in the making, but might not be in production.

It's not a for sure 100% fix for 2013 and up, but they do have the updated parts.

The updated tensioners have been great for me. I’m at 138,000 miles on my 2013. Doing a bunch of maintenance this month. New plugs, rotors, pads and all fluids are getting serviced.

The timing chains can still give trouble. I think a lot depends on oil change frequency especially as they age. And using the correctly rated oil. The 2016 is not trouble free but better in that regard. As others have said the other issues - coolant pipes, supercharger coupler etc - still apply but a Land Rover is a Land Rover and a Jeep's a Jeep.
