Good afternoon Roverians,
This forum has helped me recently, so I reach out again for knowledge:
My 2016 LR4 (purchased used 1 month ago) came with the cold weather package, according to the VIN. I have the correct cord (TMR 3600003) to attach to the block heater. Now I just need to find the damn thing.
Today I had my driver's side (NA, so left side) front tire off. I removed all of the fender splash guard screws and retainers. I learned that I have to remove the fender flare and the mud flap to remove the splash guard, so I'm going to finish this job tomorrow.
That said, once I get to the point that I can see the back of the engine, where is frost plug/block heater, say, in relation to the oil pan, or the left bank downpipe?
I have the service manuals and procedures for this vehicle (thanks to a user on this forum), so please be as technical as you can. Incidentally, the only procedure apparently missing from the service documents I have is the installation of a block heater.
I'd **** for a picture of the location, but beggars can't be choosers. Any help is appreciated.
