Hey all... My 2000 LR2 started throwing 4 codes yesterday: 0173, 0174, 0004, 1100. They showed once, I swiped them. They came back within 5 minutes of driving. There are no driving issues whatsoever and no unusual noises. She just got a new serpentine belt, new synthetic oil, and new air filter. I Seafoamed the gas and oil about two weeks/500 miles ago. I Did not do the air intake. She's at 60,400 miles. There are in fact, no problems with the vehicle whatsoever. Aside from needing a couple new tires
Here's what I've found:
0173 - Fuel trim malfunction, bank 2
0174 - Oxygen Sensor System Too Lean Fault Bank B
0004 - Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit High
1100 - Mass air flow sensor intermittent
I *am* using 87, yeah yeah. And I *had* a K&N on for about a month, but took it off about 2 weeks ago. I didn't add any oil to it; it had been on my Jetta for a year but sitting for a year before I slapped it on the LR2.
I'm thinking I should/can clean the MAF with electrical circuit cleaner. But my questions are these:
-Please confirm this is not an 87 octane issue
-Can Seafoam do this?
-Can one month of K&N do this?
-Any other possibilities beyond dirty MAF? Or fried MAF?
Thanks all
-Aaron
