So.........trying to take out the Hitachi compressor on my 2010. I cannot get the two air lines equipped with metal quick connect fittings to release at the rear of the unit? Squirted with WD40, tried placing an open ended wrench head and pressing it against the quick release while pulling on the hose. But neither will budge?
Any thoughts??
Need to get this done today!!!

They were really hard to get off on mine too when I removed the compressor. I had to depress the release ring with a lot of force, and only then pull on the hoses. Any pressure pulling on the hoses before pushing on the release would prevent them from moving.

For future notes, it's a push-to-connect fitting. Push the plastic ring inwards, push the hose in and then pull out. Glad you figured it out.
