Aloha! & Vibration at Slow Speeds

Hey LR Forum! Just bought my first rover - 2000 DISCO II with 95k
Picked it up from a dealer for $4k (good deal?)

Anyways, I've been noticing this weird vibration at slower speeds,
especially when my foot is not on the gas or when i'm slowing down.
Sounds like a low frequency vibration (the type that bothers your ears),
and its not as bad when I open the windows or sunroofs, or at 40+ mph.

BTW I do live in Hawaii, so options for parts or shops is limited
I'm 22, and my mechanical ability is good, but not great.
Took me 2 full days to change the valve cover gaskets on this DISCO,
but hey I got it done.

Low speed vibration can be tires or the front drive shaft if it has not already been replaced. Easy to change, google the drive shaft issues, it is something you want to fix very soon or it may be very expensive.

After a few hours of googling trying to match my symptoms to others', I concluded it might be the u-joints.
I dont think anythings been changed on this thing.

Should I replace the whole drive shaft, or just new u-joints (like many people seem to be doing)?

Also, would a bad drive shaft make a low rotating scuff sound? (almost sounds like a bad wheel bearing to my ear)

Just found this brand new drive shaft w/ greasable u-joints for $249 on ebay.
Most places want over $400! Thinking I might just do the whole thing, would be much easier than fitting new u-joints.

Thats a good drive shaft, same one I put on my Rover. And I know these sellers very well. They will treat you good. Plus it is a ton easier to pull the old one and scrap it than to replace the u-joints. Scuffing sound may be a brake indicator... Find somewhere that does a free brake inspection or pull some wheels and start looking.

Chances are the drive shaft, al though it needs replacing .

I will be buying that drive shaft mentioned earlier as soon as i get paid on friday.

By the way i noticed the vibration seems to appear after a bit of driving.
Like if i just go to the store & back its fine, but if im driving an hour or more it starts vibrating. Its like a low frequency vibration that bothers your ears and you can feel in your teeth.
Also, its most apparent at around 35mph, and almost non existent in the 10s, 20s, or 45+ speeds.

Just trying to be thorough, i'll be replacing that drive shaft regardless.
