On my 2012 LR4 HSE, the Backup camera lens is scratched/pitted creating a blurred vision on the monitor. Is this camera hard thing to replace?

I'll check it closer and see if that's possible. Thanks for the replySince it's already scratched (how did you do that?), you might just try some polishing compound on it before replacing it.
Good info...I'm going to recheck it...thanks for the replyToothpaste works if it’s slight or go for a polishing compound for glass.
Bottom line though if it’s that bad then it’s probably a replacement. Are you sure it’s scratched and not just a build up of crud?
$$$$ ouch.......btw - do you have that part# of hand? Also, How hard is it to switch it out? Any how-to's? Thanks for the reply. You can replace the tiny cameras, but they are pricey; LR want $450-500 for new ones and even on eBay they’re still a couple hundred. I have a chipped one on the front bumper that I’ve thought about replacing, but can’t justify the price. All the cameras have the same p/n so you may think about swapping one from the mirror to the back; I know I don’t use my mirror cameras very much at all
