New to this board. You guys helped so much arlready as I unglogged my A/C drains last night. So, here's another...
2003 Discovery with 50k miles - When approaching a stop, just before the vehicle comes to a complete stop I hear a clunk from the area of the passenger side dash. Sounds like a vent is closing or clapping shut or a soda can is rolling forward on the floor. Nothing when I take off, just at stop. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum... two questions... first is the sound inside or outside? Second, have your removed the soda can from the glove box?

Seems to be coming from the inside. The sound is clear and disctinct. Yeah, I checked, no soda can.

Do you have something loose, rolling around in the glove box?

No, I eventually emptied the entire contents of the vehicle to trouble shoot. I cant seem to uncover any obvious cause.

My recommendation is have a passenger sit there and listen as you recreate the issue and see if they can pin point the problem.

Check for an empty pint bottle in the door frame.
I found a bottle of Jack in my friends 70 F250 Ford Pick Up drivers door
behind the metal skin.

Check the radius rod bushings up front as well the rear that are mounted to the frame by 3 small bolts.
I found one rear rubber radius arm bolt missing as well the other two loose as well the steel plate bent up
on a friends D1 that made a lot of noise.

Rubber bushings shot at the front forward radius arm to the front diff axle tube?
