I just learned today that the buttons on the key remote are replaceable. We were taking care of other business at the dealership, and my wife happened to mention in front of the cashier that the button was about to fall off the remote. The cashier then told us that she thought they are replaceable. So we walked back over to the parts counter and asked. Sure enough. For $6 and change we got a new button cover that just pops into the remote fob. The button cover looks so seamless with the remote that I never imagined it was removeable.
So, if your buttons look like this:
pick up a new button cover for 6 bucks. Pop out the old, and...
pop in the new. Good as new...
