Hey there guys i have a 2001 disco. just recently i had replaced some burnt tail lights in the rear passenger side of the rover. once done the top driving lights still do not illuminate when switched on.
also Recently everytime i applyed the brake the dash lights, radio lights, and gear box lights (pretty much all illumination on the dash and control panel) flashed on and off as something was swinging loose in the relm of wiring.

looking further i saw that my trailer hitch was loose and wires where cut so i removed them from the wire splice in the rear tail light and flashing stopped however the dash lights that illuminate all the gauges do not light when the head lights are turned on.
(i dont know if helpful with diagnosis but, the passenger driving light still doesnt illuminate and the passenger park low beam light do not turn on even with changed bulbs)

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated
and again thanks for all the other help with my 98' that i had a while back.

Sounds like a bad headlight switch... they are known to go bad.

would that affect just the parking low beam and driving light of just one side (right) of the car and allow everything else to work?

You also mentions tail light issues or dash light issues... unless I read things wrong. So I would try the switch first... it can cause odd lighting problems.
