When I start up my disco in the AM it runs sluggishly for maybe a minute. If I push the petal down to far it bogs down. This only happens for the first minute or so (longer when colder). I can almost tell when it will stop about a block and a half from my garage suddenly it's like the gas starts to flow and the car runs much better. And it runs fine until I go up one hill about a half mile and then down about a quarter mile and then up again and it's on this second hill it starts to miss and run sluggish. on the way down the second hill the check engine light comes on and I get a 45 error code.

I know I need to replace the exhaust flange gasket as it leaks a little but I don't think this is a problem. I've also replaced the coolant and gas temp sensors as well as both O2 sensors. I've also replaced the spark plug wires and plugs. I did a full three can seafoam thing about two months ago as well. I'm going to do the seafoam thing again this weekend but I just wanted to see what everyone though my problem might be.

Thanks

Eric

Fuel filter

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? It sounds a lot like the problems I had while visiting a friend in Phoenix, AZ last summer. Freakin' hottest day of the year on record for that area and my Disco starts acting up. No vac leaks found and after about 2 hours, figured it wouldn't hurt to replace the fuel filter. Pulled the old one off and my girlfriend couldn't even blow through it and believe me, she can...oops..um..er...uh...well anyways, back to topic. So I changed it in 117 degree weather.

Bad roverX, bad. I will try to behave.

Eric,

I have read back threw some of the issues that you have been having on your Disco.... If it was me, I would check the fuel injectors. This could very well be causing your issues.

I've changed the fuel filter.

Is it possible that the fuel injectors are temperature sensative????

The FI system holds 25lbs of pressure while runnig by the way and holds pressure in the mid teens when shut down.

Any other thoughts??

Thanks

Eric

seafoam

What is this seafoam I have heard people talking about? Is it a fuel injector cleaner? When mine were clogged up I used a product by BG or B&G, can't remember. I will try to find then on the net and post a link to their site. All I know is that after one can in the gas tank, I had my power back.

I'll be back...(Arnie accent)

25 lbs.... I thought the Disco should be in the 30lbs range.... and hold better than the teens when shut down.... let me look.

Fuel pump delivery pressure 2.4-2.6 bar (34-37 lbf/in 2 )

yep, I thought that looked low.... check for a week fuel pump, or the injectors are just pouring fuel..
