What type of Mobil 1 and what mileage interval do you run on oil changes?

Standard Mobil 1, not extended mileage. I shoot for 5K intervals but the last two have inched toward 7K. I'll probably do another change 5K after using the Mobil 1 this next time. No good reason and no slam against Mobil 1 intended. Just personal preference.

I have seen the comments by lots of owners who don't replace the filter every time but I got in the habit of changing it with each drain.

Yeah you will be fine. I replace filter every second time. I cut a couple apart and they had virtually nothing trapped in them. I'll take pics next spring.
