I was reading about exhaust valves sticking. That could be the problem.

I ran Seafoam through mine and it seemed to get rid of the sputtering.

Joey, will Seafoam tratment through the intake help clean buildup off the exhaust valves?

The one post I was reading at another site said that the Seafoam will burn off before it can take care of the valves.

Thanks,

I did a Seafoam treatment on the weekend and then took it for a good drive later in the evening. Seems to run nice and is smoother all the way around. Tested the next morning to see if it would sputter and it didn't. I will have to try it a few more times (the sputter test) to see if it is working better or not for sure.

Yes seafoam will help with sticking valves if used as directed on the bottle. Remember to stall the engine out with the last bit of seafoam or shut the engine down asap. Let it sit for 10 minutes and watch the smoke.
