I used to have Duratrac's in the stock 19" size when I used to live in Virginia. We got nailed with some 2' snow and I went driving around. They handled it great with the Rover. They definitely started getting loud as the tread wore down. Supposedly the Duratrac RT's are a little quieter. So far they are from what I remember but time will tell though. I dont do much offroad driving, but plan to be up in Upper Michigan some this winter so I wanted a tire that I know handles snow well.

I have 265/60R18 duratracs with probably 4 years on them on my LR4 here in Halifax. This is my winter driven car without winter tires and these surprised me with how good they were in the snow. I used to have an Outback with all seasons, and the duratracs in the snow were much more like snow tires.

PO of my LR4 neglected the suspension somewhat, so when I bought it, it needed new rear balljoints and a control arm. I think that caused the rear tires to scallop pretty badly. Now that it's fixed, it doesn't seem to be getting any worse, but they are a touch on the loud side, likely because of the wear.

Sorry to be the one to revive this thread haha

I have a 2013 LR4 HD completely stock, I'm planning to run BFGoodrich All Terrain KO3 tires (265/65R18) on Terrafirma 18x8 steel wheels with 30mm spacers. I was hoping someone out there has this or a similar setup and can confirm if there are any rubbing or fitment issues?

Do you need spacers with the steel wheels? I’d avoid them, especially ones that wide. I’ve got an LR3, so not exactly apples to apples, but I run 265/70r18 on stock wheels and get zero rubbing. You push those babies out over an inch and you’ll be hitting your fender flares if you lose air, not to mention the stress on the hubs.

Yeah the TF steelies look great but the offset with spacers required to fit over brakes on the 4 makes fitting tires difficult. I imagine 265/65 would rub pretty regularly at what is effectively 18x8 ET15
