Factory Fog Replacement

Has anyone replaced the factory fog lights using the existing hardware in the front dam with something better than LR?

I thought I read that the Hella 550s could be directly placed in the frame.

I do not have a bull bar or anything like that, I just want to replace the fog lights.

You probably can replace them but keep in mind that the factory wiring on the rover is not the best on the Lucas models (D1) if you do change the fog lights I would spend a couple extra dollars are wire in a relay so you can just use the existing wires to click the relay and run better wires from the battery or separate fuse block.
