fan clutch

hi,can somebody tell how to check a fan clutch?my 03' disco w/ 67.5k mi.fan comes on when its suppose to.i just wanna makes sure that its in good working order.

When the engine is cold, if you try to spin the fan, there should only be light resistance, when the engine is hot there should be quite a bit more resistance.
You should be more concerned with the electric fan, make sure it comes on when doing stop and go city driving or when the a/c has been on for a few minutes.

If you aren't running the AC, the AC condenser fans aren't needed to keep a Disco cool if the rest of the cooling system is in good shape and working correctly.
