Front end problems

I have a 99 disco with 134k miles , what my truck is doing is when i get up to 60mph the whole front end vibrated as well as the steering wheel.. now if I drive over the 60 and I hit a bump meaning difference in the pavement it like it knocks it I.to place and as soon as I hit another bump then it knock it out of place. Need help any ideas.???

Mine 98 has the same problem, climbed under it today and the steering damper (shock) bushing were completely gone, that may be your problem also.

The steering damper and front shocks are 2 different things. The Steering damper is a horizontal shock that runs across on of the steering rods, sorry I don't know the technical name for that particular one. Its right behind the front axle.

First, how mechanical are you, second, do you have a D1 or D2, completely different suspension set ups?

OK, that makes a huge difference, you may then have what is comonily referred to as the death wobble.
Mioght want to send me your number and I'll call you.

new member and first post. but my 98 was having the same death wobble. crawled underneath and my panhard bolt was super loose. I tightened it up and wobble went away. just ordered an adjustable panhard rod and hardware. i would definately check that. hope it helps
