fuel pump

i bought a fuel pump for my 96 land rover discovery. my oem has bolt on fittings the one i got is slide on.can i modify it to work or do i need to take it back to advance auto.thanks on advance for any answers

Without seeing what you bought, I can't say for sure, I do know that you can transfer the guts on some Fuel pumps...

joey the pump has smooth tubes on top otherwise it is the same. the oem has 9/16 in. standard fuel line fittings. i suppose i could cut my fuel lines and clanp them with line clamps. i was told in 96 they changed the pump mid year or so. this is the only one advance stocks. my truck has been down threes weeks, and i miss it.

Oh, you may or may not have the advanced evap pump.... as far as I know if you don't have advanced evap you can buy the cheap pump. Other wise yours is the expensive one like my 97.
