I'm not familiar with these car's at all, and google searches haven't helped me much. Hopefully you guys can provide some insight.
My girlfriend's mother's car has developed a couple of problems I'm thinking may be related.
First, the suspension fault light comes on intermittently. It seems to be the compressor is running continuously, and when it does stop is when the fault is thrown. My best guess right now is there is a leak in the system somewhere, and it's not able to hold pressure.
The second issue is a cyclic noise when driving, that varies with speed. It sounds like a soft "wub wub" type noise. I looks at CV joints, ball joint's, tie rod ends and saw nothing of concern. I didn't feel any excessive play in the wheel indicating a bearing issue. Not sure if this could be related to an air leak.
The third issue is a metallic clanging noise, mostly heard when turning the wheel, but I can't see any interference in the steering mechanism.
All these issues arose at the same time, from what I can determine. Any help would be appreciated. Anyone encounter similar issues?
