I have a quick question...

This weekend I did a little off roading in some very deep mud and water. Ever since then when I start my truck it idles very high, around 2000. It never did that before. Sometimes it calms down after a little bit of driving but not always.

Anyone have any ideas of how to cure the problem or where I should check and make sure everything is cleaned properly.

Thanks
Paul

Check your air filter first..., and check to make sure you didn't get anything down the MAF and intake... if so, you may need to clean the MAF and the Stepper motor.

The air filter keeps a path to the intake free of trash and dust. In that path soon after the filter will be a part with a wire plugged into it. That is the MAF.

If all is clean, then you may have a clogged fuel filter or worse your ECU needs remapped.
