After I get my new CVs in I am going to give my truck its first bath and wax. I was curious to hear how long it takes you all to detail your trucks. It takes me about 4.5 hours to detail my fiance's Q5. There is a lot more real estate on the LR! I have had good success with Meguiars car care products. Anybody have any other suggestions?
Hello LRNewbie11,

I have not yet waxed my LR4, but I have hand washed and dried, cleaned the wheels, wiped out the inside, wiped windows and RainX'd them and it took me about 2.5 hours. I want to wax my car for the first time in the next couple weeks.

Hey everyone,

I need suggestions for a GOOD inside detailing spray that I can spray onto my microfiber cloth and wipe just about everything. In addition, what about seat cleaner? I had this leather wipes but they make the seat so darn greasy so I had to wipe it down with an interior cleaning cloth and really rub it in. I use auto-glass cleaner for the windows on a glass microfiber cloth and it works awesome.

Help! I am sick of trying to find the right interior cleaner!

Thanks, David.

Hey baobay,

Thanks for the suggestion! I still have not waxed my car yet, but looking to do it in the next couple weeks. I would like a good in between spray wax that I can spray and wipe. Thanks!
Hi David,
I have been very happy with the Eagle One Wax As You Dry. You spray it on the car right after you wash it while the car is still wet and you just dry it with whatever you use to dry. I personally recommend "The Absorber XL" . It Absorbes a lot of water and makes drying the LR4 easier. As I mentioned earlier I use a brush to wash the car. It makes it go faster and is easier on your hands. I just got a huge brush from Auto Zone. Used it this weekend. I give it an A+.

I will definitely look for that spray and wax - sounds great. I also use something similar to the absorber XL and it's awesome. It really dries the LR4 quickly and leaves no streaking or anything on the windows or body. I love it!

As far as the brush for washing, I am not really sure what you mean? Could you post a link to the one you use? Thanks!

All I can say is I spend too much time washing the truck every week. My main issue is with the brake dust on the wheels. Kills my enthusiasm every time. Otherwise to just wash/dry and vaccuum out it takes about one and half hours.

I use a lot of Griots Garage stuff.

Uh, if I own a Land Rover, I ain't doing any manual labor on it. I pay someone to do it instead.

I think it's called pride of ownership. I do 1000% better job than some ex con on parole at a carwash/detail shop.

I wish I had your kind of time, LRnewbie! Too busy raising kids and making money I guess.
