I test drove an 03 Discovery this week with higher miles for an 03 - 104k miles. After it was warmed up the oil warning light came on when I was idling at a light, but would go off when I accelerated.
I searched the archives it is appears this is a fairly common issue and probably related to sludge in the oil pan/pickup tube or maybe a faulty sensor. However, all the threads on the topic were related to the Series I Discovery.
Would this be the same problem for a 2003 Discovery with the 4.6 motor?
