I have had Audi A4's and an A6 4.2. VW Passat 4-Motion wagon. Cadillac ETC, Alfas, Mazdas. . . All are louder than my LR3. It is amazing how quite the LR is. Compared to my current Honda Odyssey, the loudness of the Ody is a shocker. There must be something wrong with yours.
Tires can make very little, or a great amount of noise. I couldn't be sure, but it looks like you still have the Synchrones on. When they get near the end, they get louder.
