I think these sliders will get the job done how about you?

Proud Rhino LR3 full coverage sliders. Solid and extremely well built. Also the boxes in the corner are a pair of dunlop air struts from the gent's at Lucky8.

So my daughter has been helping out with the work on the LR3 so I have been really enjoying the time together. So this truck has horribly failed clear coat on the roof. 95% will be covered by the roof rack. So the last 5% we decided to paint the area satin black to blend the roof line in with the fairing on the rack.

I have absolutely been loving it. She is learning a ton and I have been enjoying teaching her. We have been putting in an hour or two each day working. We could get more done but with school, work and home projects time to head over and work on the LR3 is somewhat limited.

So here is a bit that I had been waiting for since Christmas. My dad had ordered me a set of seat covers from www.knightsbridgeoverland.com as a gift since the front seats were pretty tired looking and the armrests looked like a Honey Badger had made sweet sweet love to them.

They are and extremely well made product, repel water and should clean up nicely after a weekend on the trail. Even more of a plus in my mind is supporting a small business that makes their products in house. Definitely take a peek and see what they have to offer. The cover pretty much the full range of Land Rover's.

Installation was super easy and very straight forward. I still need to tighten up my install a bit as I wasn't sure if I was going to leave them on but I knew I wanted to see what they looked like in the truck. I couldn't be happier with how they look.

They also add a few extra handy pockets at the front edge of the lower cushion and on the side of the seat back.

We finished it off today and removed the masking. Real happy with how it turned out. It is really awesome working with her to repair and build the truck. Tomorrow I think we are going to tape up a list on the garage wall like I did for the Red Clay Rally prep. Then we can layout what we need to do and have a little feel good moment checking things off.

The work goals for tomorrow is pulling the A pillar trim on the drivers side and repairing them both, and getting the headliner down if we are lucky lol

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing on my roof. I’ve been throwing around the idea of vinyl because I don’t have anywhere to paint indoors.

I hope you have better luck with lucky8 than I have. I really wanted them be my “go to” because they seem to have all the goodies I wanted in one place. After my second $500 order they didn’t want to help me anymore. I will have to source my sliders somewhere else.

Always had fantastic luck with them. I will admit however to being very good friends with them. Sorry you had a bad experience though.

On the paint since it is simple rattle can work. As long as it is a calm day the flash off time of the Rustoleum is like 15 min you could probably get away with doing it outside. I went a bit overboard on the prep and masking as I was trying to show my daughter what right should look like or at least mostly right lol

We dug into the headliner, few little tricky areas but common sense will get you across the finish line on getting it pulled loose. Now getting it out of the damn truck is another thing entirely. Also discovered that the passenger side seat is dead as dead gets. Hopefully I can sort that out. So tomorrow we are going to pull the seats as well. My assistant is awesome and is really starting to catch on to some of the tricks of the trade.

Put in a couple more hours today. Headliner won again. We.did However get all the seats out of the LR3. Really not as bad as I thought it would be. Pretty sure the navigation dvd player is a goner. So I will likely need to add that to the replace list. Tomorrow the console and rear load space plastic is coming out. That should be the final piece in the headliner comes out puzzle.
