I recently discovered my first warranty issue with my 08 LR3 concerning the passenger window. When I'm driving around 60+mph and try to roll up the passenger window, the window hits the upper door frame causing it to default to the window down position. Investingating the issue I found that the window 'flexes' outward at high speeds causing it to bind at the top. I took it into the dealer and they're first go-around was to simply reprogram the window motor (should have thrown bs flag on that fix...). Needless to say I'm still having the issue and I was wondering if anyone else has come across this? I've already performed a brief search and have not seen this specific issue...Anything to help me help my dealer would be appreciated!

I can't say that I've had that in my LR3 but have on other vehicle's I've owned and driven. You may want to have the dealership check the window rails. On other vehicles I've noticed that as they got older and more flex developed in the mechanical parts things like this happened - stuff shifted. Also, the rubber window seals may not be helping to guide and seal the window. Just a thought, or slow down to close the window.... :)

Have the same problem re my driver window.

My 2005 does not have the auto up feature re the passenger side but does on the drivers side.

I find that I have to hold the button in the up position most of the time to get the window to rise when at speeds above say 50 mph. As such, I tend to auto roll it up while accelerating on the on ramp as once I get to speed, then I will have to do it manually so to speak.

I never tried to get it fixed - just figured it was a Land Rover thing.

Hey guys, I finally took it in a while ago under warranty and it turns out the window guides within the door were exanded so the while going up the window was able to "flex" outward due to the air pressure and this caused it to hit the grove on the top of the door. I have no idea how the window guides get damaged but if your having this problem its most likely due to this reason.
