This issue is the single biggest complaint in ownership of the LR4. Roadtrips are meant for music...and this kills it.
Trees that are overhead should not **** a Sat signal.
Something is wrong with these trucks - the unit, the antenna, the module - something is wrong - plain and simple.
The dealer knows it too.
I have had many vehicles with sat and some could go 2 levels down in a parking garage before it lost any signal...
The radio overall is horrible, buggy, loss of stations and presets...the way you have to turn everything back to the way it was when the car was shut off - horrible.
