@Al Pizzica im not saying you’re wrong, but that kind of amazes me; the ZF Lifeguard fluid is thinner and ‘slippery-er’ than any other trans fluid I’ve seen before, especially Mercon.

Just going to add something I recently learned regarding clutch failure (torque converter). It is not uncommon for the transmission cooler to leak into the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF), causing contamination and premature mechanical wear and potential failures.

It might be best not to assume your torque converter is just "worn" or "old." You can test (wear metals and contamination) the ATF or have your trusted mechanic do it. I think my ATF is red due to contamination as I learned the 20,000-mile or so (4- years old) replacement transmission had ZF Lifeguard 6 ATF installed.

Just wanted to add that this stuff is magic.

Very slight TC shudder and the trans has felt pretty lazy since I went up to 32s. Added one bottle of this and it has transformed. Going to drop the pan and change the screen and do another fluid swap in the summer but man what a change.
