Oil level sensor leaking

So oil is weeping from around one of the bolts on the oil level sensor under the truck. It’s nothing to be concerned about at this time as it never actually drips. Initially I was planning to just swap a new one in next time I changed the oil, but upon doing a little searching I see guys in other forums saying it’s a 10 hour job requiring a pan drop etc??? Is this right? Why can’t I just unbolt the three bolts on the current one and pop the new in from below?

Looks like there is no other way to get to it other than dropping the sump:
