One last oil pan question

When changing the gasket, am I too put RTV on both sides of the gasket or just one?

This will depend on who you talk to. Basically the RTV is to hold the gasket in place while you are installing the oil pan. You should not need to use in on both sides, I would only use it on the oil pan side itself, but that is me.

Of course everone does everything there own way.
