P38 1998 Fuel Pump

i need to replace this fuel pump on my RR but it is so expensive to buy the whole fuel module. can't i just replace the fuel pump motor? thanx...

Yes, go to Advanced Auto and buy an Airtex # E3270 or an E 3240 for higher pressure and better performance, they are about $85.

I have had this issue with my P38. About 3 weeks ago the fuel pump burned out and I almost had to junk the car. I just got it back tonight after I tracked down a replacement fuel pump online. This exact one fit my 1998 P38 HSE and it runs fine now.

I have seen several recommendations for aftermarket fuel pumps. Will they still work with the late 1997 and newer emissions systems? Thanks.
