can someone post idiot proof pics?[/QUOTE]

I have had it installed now for about 3 years. Very happy with the mount after coming from a CD based mount in my D4. Very solid and a bonus in the fact I do not have to get a new mount every year when i get a new note. I like it so well i actually took out the RAM mount I had in my D2 and installed one there as well. I will try to get a update picture posted shortly. Also it has not been an issue here me here in the Houston heat during the summers. If anything it helps keep the phone cool when driving in the heat.

Best bet it is use the guide they have. they now have a few options that will screw into the base and provide a firm grip. When I ordered they did not even have the wireless charging base but they is ok as I run a 36w charger for mine anyways.

this wld work great on fixed vents. on the LR4 vents the weight of the phone shuts the vent into the closed position.

I don’t have pics but it essentially wedges itself on that flat area on the dash to the left of the vent. A little lip from the Proclip inserts into the crack/seem on the top and bottom of that Flat space.

The Proclip is a flat surface and any phone mount can be screwed into it or any adhesive based mounts. I use a Ram Mount X-grip with a Ram short and long arm to get it in a position I like.

I just got my 2011 LR4, its been a few days without a phone holder and its super annoying. I started looking at options, and came across the Pro Clip and then this post. I have never been a fan of the vent clips, and the pro clip seems pretty stout. Price is a little steep at $29.99, but seems like the way to go. I haven't pulled any triggers yet, still searching.....

The Proclip is a lot more than $30. You need the custom base that clamps onto your LR4's dash/trim, then the actual holder that mounts to that base. If memory serves, the entire setup was more like $50-60.

I was just going to use my existing magic mount on the pro clip, I have a few extras from my other vehicles.

I just bought the proclip base and attached a cheap magnetic mount (Amazon) to the proclip. Worked great. I think the proclip is a nice solution. A little steep for the single base piece, but worth it.
