Just confirmed their extinction with Tire Rack.

I figures...I had 2 near-new ATR's left over from the LR3 and was going to buy another 2 new ones to replace the mediocre Contis that came with the LR4. Guess I now have to buy 4 Cooper Zeon LTZs or 4 Nokian WRG2s.

If anyone needs 2 ATRs (255/55-19) just send me a PM. Will sell for cheap.

Googling that tire and size returned several hits of stores where the tire is still available (allegedly... Didn't call to verify.) Here are a couple:

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Discount_Tires.cfm?pn=PIR-1766800&pID=8476

May want to check with a local tire shop that distributes Pirelli. Just because Tire Rack discontinued them, doesn't necessarily mean Pirelli did... They are still listed on Pirelli's Corporate site.

Thanks umbertob, I never heard of those two but will see if they have any left. The bigger tire vendors (Discount Tire, Tires by web, etc.) are already out of the ATRs. Maybe they sell the leftover discontinued tires to the smaller guys.

That is odd. I was out at the end of last week getting a few quotes on replacing the tires on my '11 that has 41k miles. The ATR is one they quoted. I figured I would wait a month or so before I pull the trigger.

Thats too bad b/c I've had nothing but great luck with 2 sets of ATRs on my 19" wheels. I think that I'll try the LTZs with but on 18" wheels now.

Discounted wheel warehouse was very nice to speak with but they are sold out of ATR's as well.

Spoke with tires-easy.com and they claim to have ATRs in stock. Not sure where the call was directed to, the person could barely speak English. I did a Google search on that company and nothing but complaints and terrible reviews come up. Everything from wrong sizes shipped, lost shipments, and complaints of old, cracked tires being sold.

Will get a set of 4 new Nokian winter tires in fall for the LR4 and a set of Zeon LTZ's next spring. Going to use one of my leftover ATR's to replace the OE full size spare (Goodyear Wrangler) that came with our LR3.

I was just at my dealer, and they had a 2013 LR4 with a 20" shiny wheel package and they had Pirelli Scorpions on them. That's gonna suck if they get a flat and have to buy a whole new set of tires... especially after spending $2500 extra for a set of pretty normal looking LR4 wheels.

Edit: It did have the HD package, so I guess they would get one "free" pass on a flat...

That new LR4 probably has the Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires on it. The Scorpion Zero tires & Scorpion Verde tires are still made. Just the Scorpion ATR was discontinued.
