My wife's 2000 discovery is leaking power steering fluid right around the adjusting nut on top of the pump. Can I just remove this and put some thread sealane on it or what should I do?

Thanks for the help,

I used some of the lucas stop leak for Steering. Best $8.00 ever spent on my truck. I may end up spending $16.00 though as it ate half of the first bottle waiting for the seals to swell.

if you are sure it is leaking from the adjust not and not running down from the fill tank, then you can replace the 'O' ring, but make sure the cheap clamps that hold the non-pressure line are not the cause of you issue.

Yeah I'm sure that's where it's coming from, you can see it seeping up through the threads on the left side of the hex screw.

If it is seaping through the screw, you should be able to change the "O" ring
