Since I finally got the fuel issue sorted, I finally installed my rear tire carrier.

It fits pretty tight to the body, but with enough room for recovery gear to mount

From the rear, you can see that it sits pretty high, but that is to ensure that it does not interfere with the backup sensors.

Nice stainless steal strike plate and latch channel

And super strong spindle and bearing assembly

Finally, I like how the tire mounts, as there are provisions for a lock, and there is space for other goodies to strap to the mount, or the brackets with the nuts (do not know what they are for, but could probably use them for something)

From inside, you can see that rear visibility is a little restrained, but not too bad

the backup camera works well (passenger side view is essentially blocked, but that is what mirrors are for), and the parking sensors still function

Overall, I'm very happy with the product and word be happy to answer any questions

Looks like a good product. Just remember that this will add another 176 lbs to the weight on the carrier if the tank is fully loaded.
(Assuming the specific gravity of the fuel is .77kg/ltr)

Weight would be similar to having a dual swing out with 2 jerry cans in the rear. BUT you're right, it'll question how heavy duty the single spindle is to carry a full size spare and 13 gal fuel tank.

If they say it’s man enough Then it’s an option I’d Seriously look into

Very interested! Can you share a picture? How annoying was running the wiring?

FYI. I mounted a new Kenwood camera to my spare tire carrier and wired it inuin the factory wiring harness. It works perfectly and gives you your panoramic view back.

Thanks, brother!

Looks great and the review covered practical features and issues. Also digging the Rhino hitch.

I got it right from the fabricator. Took about 6 weeks to receive and was about $1300 (shipping included) after the exchange rate.

I would think that that tank would mount pretty well to it, as the piece where the tire mounts is removable. The tank should easily slide over the post and then be sandwiched by the adjustable tire mount piece.

Where'd you source it
